Nice and Knit Knit Along

Yeah, could not help it 🙂 I enjoyed the Surry Hills KAL so much that I almost immediately jumped into another one.  Due to a last-minute gift I had to finish (you will learn about that soon 🙂 ) I only last night managed to cast on and only did a bit today (the KAL started on Sunday).

Rondeur beginning

I am always surprised how from such humble beginnings a whole garment grows! And also I have a feeling it will be one of the things that benefit from blocking significantly.

The pattern I chose is called Rondeur by Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark and I decided to make it from Bambus – a black bamboo yarn from my stash, obviously 🙂  It is very very black, richer than in the picture, very soft, there is almost chenille feeling to it. It has been tested for kids under 3, so it is really soft and gentle, only it does strand a little, so one has to be careful with it. It is still listed on the manufacturer´s website, even though it seems unavailable at the moment.

I will obviously keep you posted about the progress and I am hoping I will enjoy the KAL at least as much as the previous one 🙂
